Within the Polar Meteorology and Climate course at the University Center in Svalbard (UNIS) I got to work with Mathilde B\u00f8kevoll<\/a>, Laura Kruizenga and V\u00e5rin F\u00f8lling S\u00f8rensen<\/a> under the supervision of Arthur Garreau<\/a> on the renewable energy at Kapp Linn\u00e9 based on our field work week at the beginning of September 2023.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This project brought us to deploy short and long wave radiation sensors around the newly built solar panel park of Isfjord Radio in order to provide a simulation of the potential of energy production during this week of field work.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

We also got to work on the imagery of an all sky camera to measure the cloud coverage during the week.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This field work helped us to improve our skills in operating in the field in Svalbard while taking in consideration the different risk, including polar bear. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

To conclude this project, we had to write a report in the same manner as a scientific article.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
